Many of our clients are so disillusioned with their traditional pension plans that they have simply stopped funding them especially in today’s financial climate. Some clients have had to stop their plans due to changes in their employment or personal circumstances or the employers themselves have been forced to close or change their pension schemes. The question therefore should be where does that leave you? Do you actually know how much your pension is worth and even more important do you know how much income your current pension will provide on retirement?

The factors mentioned are just a few that have affected our clients over the years and has left them within inappropriately funded pensions and a lack of understanding and clarity with regards to where they stand today. Many individuals like yourself are even left with funds that are paid up or “frozen” and simply have no idea of what to do to re-establish a viable option to help towards a more comfortable retirement.

This website will hopefully not only give you a better understanding of your current situation but also enlighten you to some of the alternatives offered by SIPPs and property in general. It is our belief that some of the alternatives highlighted here, maybe of further interest to you. By giving you a better understanding hopefully you may begin to understand why we feel that Property can help towards a more comfortable retirement for you and your family.

Our mission is to simply educate and let our prospective clients know that pensions aren’t necessarily as boring as they think. The whole subject of pensions has almost become taboo as everyone knows that their existing planning is woefully inadequate but until now many people refuse to take stock and simply let the years go by until it’s too late. Don’t be one of them and at the very least obtain a up to date position on your planning, see our “Your Pension isn’t working” section on our Home Page for details on obtaining a Complimentary Pension Review, so you have all the facts to hand to make informed decisions regarding the future, maybe SIPPs can help due to the alternative investments they can hold.

This is unfortunately a true reflection of today’s lack of retirement provision but the bottom line is everyone has to take responsibility and do something. Nobody is going to do it for you and therefore we believe it is safe to say that you have to look after No 1 as the saying goes.

Many individuals may not be aware of the monumental changes that are happening with regards to pension provision in the UK. The Government has made it compulsory for all employers to put in place a company pension and to fund this arrangement as well. The reason we mention this is to highlight our point which is that the whole of the UK for many years has been fairly dependent on some sort of pension provision from the state. The state in turn due to an aging population and numerous other factors such as economics and the state of countries finances have to shift the emphasis onto employers, as the state can obviously no longer provide.

The outcome of this is that everyone at some point will have a pension of sorts, this is not the time or place to go into major detail but you could ask any Independent Financial Adviser to enlighten you further as they are qualified to do so. The point that we are making is that even though major changes are happening and therefore the subject of pensions will be discussed a lot more in the forth coming years, it yet again will not change the fact that the individual will not understand or fund correctly to achieve a realistic income when they retire.

Please note that pensions do not have to invest in boring assets and funds but they can invest via SIPPs in assets that clients like you understand i.e. Commercial Property, Hotels, individual Hotel Rooms (UK and Overseas), Offices and Commercial Land, for example. See our SIPP Section. Therefore individuals may wish to invest when appropriate in areas of greater personal interest and even some knowledge i.e. PROPERTY – so suddenly building a pension fund for your retirement can in a funny way be described as fun for once or at the very least discussable amongst friends as opposed to being confined to an annual statement from a provider hidden in their drawers (sorry I mean filing system!).

We hope the penny drops with you and you appreciate that it may be time to take stock and re-evaluate your current planning.

We sincerely hope we can be of assistance to you and your family as together the future may be a little less cloudy!!!!
